How does an individual decide to seek therapy?  How do they choose a therapist that is right for them and their needs?  Supportive and effective therapy should provide compassion, empathy, a skilled listener, and a place of safety and support.   As an unbiased, open minded therapist I offer consultation and guidance regarding a variety of concerns.

The process of therapy often helps an individual open doors in their life that were previously closed.  I focus on helping you navigate your personal journey to feel better and improve your life at your own pace.

I offer therapy to individuals, families, children, and adolescents.

I can help you to address a variety of life issues, including transition, relationships, career changes, trauma, divorce, stress, depression, anxiety, gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgendered issues, and familial conflict.

I utilize play therapy with children and adolescents to provide them with what they need.   Through a supportive environment, therapy can address anxiety and depression symptoms, anger management, conflict resolution, emotion regulation and expression, and communication techniques to improve their relationship with their families and their peers.  I take a collaborative approach to treating children and adolescents, working together with a child’s parents and their educational system to achieve the most positive outcome.

I also offer therapy focused on social skills targeted specifically to individuals who have Autism or Asperger’s Disorder.

My education includes earning a Master of Social Worker and Master of Bioethics from the University of Pennsylvania.   I was also selected for a post graduate fellowship at Yale University’s Child Study Center where I honed my clinical skills by providing in depth individual, group, and play therapy to children, adolescents, and their families.

In addition, I have experience treating substance abuse and trauma victims from my previous work at the University of Pennsylvania’s Hospital and the New York County District Attorney’s Office.

As a therapist for young adults, I also treat college and graduate students at the University of Miami’s Counseling Center, helping them address multiple issues, including depression, anxiety, stress, familial conflict, transition, and relationships.

Please call me to set up a phone consultation.  I am here to help you create and structure your personal tools for the change and success you desire.
